2027 Light up the Square Summer Fest: 5k & 1 Mile Glow Run

We are coming back for year two of the Light Up the Square Summer Festival, a family-friendly community celebration designed to bring people together while shining a light on substance use awareness, its impact on families, and the importance of community support and resources.

This free community event runs from 4:00 PM to 10:00 PM and will take place in the heart of our town square. The evening will feature live music at the gazebo, food trucks, yard games, face painting, a photo booth, and a small business fair highlighting local community vendors.

*5k & 1 Mile Fun Run requires $35 race registration (Prices to increase closer to the race so we suggest registering early!)

While this event is free and open to the public, donations are strongly encouraged and gratefully accepted to support the mission of Cardinal Crew, which provides education, community support, scholarships, and free telehealth services to families affected by substance use disorder.

Event Schedule

  • Live music at the gazebo featuring Cleveland Keys Dueling Pianos (4pm-7pm)

  • Silent Auction Opens

• 8:00 PM - Mini Kids Dash in the Square

  • No registration required, t-shirt and medal not included.

  • Recommended for kids 8 and under

• 8:15 PM - 5k & 1 Mile Glow Run Kicks off on Broadway Street

• 9:30 PM - Silent Auction Closes

• 10:00 PM - Event Concludes

This event is more than just a festival, it is a community movement to raise awareness, reduce stigma, and connect families with real resources. Throughout the evening, attendees will have opportunities to learn about the work of Cardinal Crew and the services available to support individuals and families impacted by substance use. 💡 Glow sticks and neon attire are highly encouraged!

5K & Glow Run Registration

Race participation is $35 (Prices to increase closer to race day), kids 12 and under run free. (Must purchase registration for kids to receive shirt/medal) Race registration will be made available at a later date.
